I’m very happy to share my first publication: the paper “Current Research and Open Gaps in Federated Large Language Models: A Systematic Review” has been published in the journal SBC Computing Reviews, from the Brazilian Computer Society. 🎉

In this paper, we present how FedLLMs combine Large Language Models with Federated Learning to train models in a decentralized way while preserving data privacy. We also discuss the challenges and issues inherited from both fields.

This work was only possible thanks to the dedication of the whole team: Roberto Ribeiro, Frederico Gadelha Guimarães, Hélder Seixas Lima, Vinicius Martins, Allana Tavares, Larissa Duarte Santana, Beatriz Pereira, Júlia Borba and Melissa Lima. Thank you all!

The paper is open access:
